Payment of Lessons

Payment of regular lessons must be paid no later than the Monday before lessons are to commence. This is for both monthly and bi-weekly payment plans. Payment of academic terms/career tracks/school holiday courses (e.g. summer camps) must be paid no later than two weeks prior to the start date of that particular course.

For example, if your lessons are to begin Wednesday, April 10^th, 2024, your payment must be completed by Monday April 1^st, 2024.
If your fall term begins August 5^th, 2024, your payment must be made by July 22nd, 2024.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Singular or One-off Cancellations

If you need to cancel a class, please contact us at least four (4) hours before class is set to begin. Class will automatically be rescheduled for a regular day of your schedule at the end of your original end date.

For example, if your monthly session began on Monday May 4^th, 2020 on a Monday/Wednesday schedule and you needed to cancel Wednesday May 13^th, 2020, your makeup class would be automatically rescheduled to Monday June 1^st , 2020.

Rescheduling

Should you wish to reschedule classes for a different day outside of your regular schedule, please contact us first to discuss, so as not to interfere with other students’ arrangements.

Quitting and Leave of Absences

If you are no longer going to take lessons, you must cancel through your secure customer portal, with our partner Stripe, before the subscription is due. You have the option to take the remaining lessons of your pay period.

If you are simply needing to take time off, you must choose "pause" in your secure customer portal, with our partner Stripe, before the subscription is due. Please enter the reason for your leave of absence and a possible restart date. Then, communicate your situation to your teacher via email.

Refunds

Solo Private and Group Private lessons are not eligible for refunds at this time.

Academic Term, Career Track and Holiday Term courses are eligible to receive:

Full refunds if a written notice that you’d like to cancel your participation in a session is received at least ten (10) business days before the term is set to commence.
A partial refund of 50% is may be returned if the written notice is received at least five (5) business days before the term is set to commence.
Program refunds will be ineligible if a written notice is not received at least five (5) business days before the term course commences.

Course Discounts

At present we offer sibling/family discounts based on the number of students simultaneously enrolled in classes.

Our referral discount is set at 10% off one month for Student and their referred Student Friend enrolled in classes.

Event Ticket Purchases

In the case of Salons: Tickets purchased for events are refundable up to 3 calendar days before the event.

In the case of Seminars: Tickets purchased for events are refundable up to 7 calendar days before the event.

Any participant that does not follow the Event specific rules may be asked to leave the event with no refund.

Key Babel Institute employees reserve the right to determine the outcome of rules broken at any event hosted by us.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We strongly recommend you check this page from time to time to keep abreast of any changes in our Terms and Conditions.
